Solar panels and windmills for electricity

In recent years, a lot of scientists have found out that fossil fuels in the future will be depleted and time will come that we people will not be able to produce electricity from it anymore. Therefore, it is very valuable for us to determine other sources for electricity. As of today, fossil fuels have been said to be getting more insufficient and because of that the prices of fuel have been increasing. What we need to do is have a solution or an alternative for this inevitable depletion of fossil fuels. We also must start using other natural sources such as the sun's heat and the wind in order to produce electricity.

The burning of gasoline, coal and other form of natural gas are adding up to the pollution in our environment which is also causing global warming and the greenhouse effect. The burned fossil fuel causes air pollution and can be very dangerous to our health when inhaled.

The natural sources of energy that can produce electricity can be harvested from the sun's heat, waterfall's hydropower, wind and even from hydrogen. They provide eco-friendly energy and can cause no pollution or whatsoever to our environment. These are the top sources of energy than can produce electricity: Wind energy, solar energy, biomass energy, and geothermal energy.

Of all the said natural energy sources, producing electricity from wind energy and solar energy would prove to be the easiest ones. The energy system used when producing electricity from natural sources are the solar panels and windmills.

Solar energy electricity

The solar energy, when creating a solar powered house or building, can be used in two different ways. The heat that is being received by the panels can be turned to electricity or it can also be used to heat up water and also your building or home. This way you can also store electricity by charging up your batteries to be used later or in the future.

Generating the stored energy from the panels to produce electricity is the second way. The basic and primary component in this process is semiconductor equipment called a photovoltaic cell. What it does is capture the sun's heat energy. A chain of photovoltaic cells consists inside the panels and when the panels capture the heat energy, it is then stored in energy storage devices called batteries and used in producing electricity.

Wind energy electricity

As stated above about wind energy, it can produce electricity by using windmills. Windmills produce electricity by the power of the wind. When a propeller is spinning then it means that wind energy is being used and electricity is being generated. The gigantic blades of windmills rotate when wind is blowing it. The blades or propellers are connected to the shaft of the windmill that has a magnet on it and it is where the energy passes, thus creating electricity from windmills.
